Professor George recently represented the Australian Centre for Integration of Oral Health (ACIOH) at the inaugural World Health Organization (WHO) Global Oral Health Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand, from November 25 to 29.

The WHO meeting brought together high-level delegates from 110 countries, fostering discussions and collaboration on advancing global oral health. The workshop's highlights included case studies, including the Midwifery Initiated Oral Health program, which fostered significant interest as a model for global adoption.

In recognition of ACIOH’s contributions to integrated oral health care, the WHO showcased the Western Sydney University (WSU) logo alongside other prestigious organisations during the closing ceremony.

ACIOH’s participation also marked its induction into the WHO Global Coalition on Oral Health. This aims to scale up innovative models of care and amplify research impact worldwide, cementing ACIOH's role as a global leader in oral health integration and innovation.
