Project Overview

Critical care nurses are at the frontline of providing often complex clinical care to patients with acute needs, and as a result, oral care may be overlooked despite its importance. To manage oral care, ventilator-associated pneumonia bundles may be introduced in the unit. However, the adherence of nurses and effectiveness of these interventions are not established. The aim of this project is to improve the oral health care delivered by critical care nurses to patients.
