Project Overview

The number of people utilising public dental services in NSW are increasing, with over 120,000 people on NSW public dental waiting lists. To relieve some of this strain, NSW Health implemented the NSW Oral Health Fee for Service Scheme (OHFSS) by which eligible patients are provided with a voucher to receive care from a registered private dental provider. This retrospective study aimed to use administrative data from the SWSLHD oral health services to examine the trends in uptake of the OHFSS.
